Thank you!

curlymirimocha In 2012, I started writing online via WordPress after my Mister snapped this photo of me on our coffee date. Curly Miri became an outlet for me to write and overcome my battle with depression.  A lot of my writing is derived from experiences in my first romantic relationship with a man from the age of 16. I left New Zealand to live with him in Washington, fast forward I’m now happy to be back in NZ.

I have now extended my writing to Instagram.   I love meeting new people, and I cherish the relationships with amazing souls I have met in the writing world. As an example, I wrote a blog post about moving into a new home and a reader sent me a painting for our home all the way from New Orleans!  You can find the beautiful work of Nancy Wolfe Kimberly (Gator Girl Art) here.

At times, I fear that allowing you to roam in the realm of my thoughts is a vulnerable gesture on my part. However, it is the genuine connections that you establish with my words I am most grateful for. Thank you for supporting my writing journey. Much love to you all.

Find me on: Instagram and Facebook

      • Yes! As soon as I saw you I followed back and did a little like splurge on your Instagram, haha. So glad to connect with you there. I have always admired your posts and you were one of the first people I connected with on WordPress. Thank you so much! I hope all is well with you too, have a great day.

  1. I’ve only been following your blog for a short while, as i have only been on WordPress for not even a month now, but what I have read of yours so far has been exceptional..

As for your last paragraph in this post, speaking as someone who is fortunate enough to have gained more than a half century of wisdom in this journey we call life, you have to leave yourself vulnerable in order to allow your work to be appreciated, or yourself be loved,

    • This is the most heartwarming comment I have ever come across. Thank you. I am grateful for your wisdom, it is a breath of fresh air in a world full of toxic essence. I know that I have so much more to learn and experience and I’m glad to come across people from various walks of life who enlighten my path with their wondrous thoughts and perspectives.

My writing journey has always been a way for me to express myself in the purest and most honest form and in a way it has enabled me to love myself, not just through my own eyes, but through the eyes of those who love me, too. I appreciate you and the connection we have made here. Looking forward to a friendship of learning and discovery. Much love and thank you.

  2. Hey dear,

I am loving your blog and am so proud of you for being who you are; a warrior! Happy, happy reader right here 🙂

  3. I enjoy your writing very much because you invest your heart in every word. Yes, it certainly makes one vulnerable to open up emotions, thoughts, or memories. But, by doing so, an unseen bond is formed with your readers. We share ourselves with trust in this bond of friendship and we begin to notice we are no longer alone. For some, there is reflection and healing. For others, it may be the realization of a dream for their voice to be heard, or to simply share a talent. But always, there is the bond of writer to reader. That connection is a wonderful thing. Write on. 🙂
